WHAT IS DOMUS ROSA MYSTICA?
Domus Rosa Mystica
(Mystical Rose House) is a is a voluntary international association
of Catholic faithful which has its Domus Mater (motherhouse) within
the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Its
charism and raison d’ętre is
the expiation, conversion, and deliverance of the heart hardened
sinner, with a special love and dedication to priests, religious, and youth and young adults
(young people).
It is composed of three
different fraternities in which its members (Catholic individuals)
can follow their religious vocation and call to the consecrated life
with the formal profession of vows as Mendicant Monks (if celibate
males), Mendicant Nuns (if celibate females), and Oblate
Missionaries (if consecrated laity, regardless of gender). Domus
Members share fraternal life by gathering in local communities
(established in different dioceses or regions) according to
fraternity.
Aside from these fraternities, Domus Rosa
Mystica also has special members, called Expiatory Members (or
suffering members).
As an extension of the
association, the Domus hosts confraternities of Affiliate Members
who live the charism and spirituality of the association in a simple
but defined way.
