Iuvenes
Rosæ Mysticæ!

Iuvenes Rosæ Mysticæ is a
program for
young adult missionaries—men and women—who
temporarily consecrate
their lives to God for one or two years adhering to the charism,
apostolate, and community life of the Mendicant Missionaries
with the intention of discerning their vocation through the
apostolate, work, community life, and philosophical-theological
studies.
These young men and women (ages 18-30) who spend a year of their
lives living in the community of the Mendicants are blessed with
clarity in their vocation call, a profound
spiritual formation, detachment from worldly things, community and
religious life experience, and missionary and apostolate service.
Some of the requirements that you need in
order to qualify for our austere, yet joyous, community life are:
-
desire to serve God and his
people, not to be served
-
openness to the Holy
Spirit's action in your life and the gifts He wants to give
-
detachment from the things
of the world (personal possessions, money, clothes you like,
food you like to eat, technology, class schedule preferences,
personal appearance, etc.) and family/friends ties
-
obedience and willful
submission to all the teachings and precepts of the Catholic
Church
-
have a disposition for
obedience to the superiors, way of life, and statutes of the
community
-
have a desire to live poor,
chaste, obedient, and practicing some forms of asceticism (like
fasting)
-
have a disposition to
travel all over with the minimum necessary and learn other
languages
-
be community-oriented and
not self-oriented
-
have a healthy,
age-appropriate human maturity
-
be responsible, diligent,
and hard worker even in the little things
-
be at least 18 years of age
-
right intention in wanting
to join
If in your prayer you think that God may be
calling you to spend a year of your life with us in the Iuvenes
Rosae Mystica program give us a call or write to us to schedule an initial visit to our
community and begin a discernment process with one of our
missionaries.
